A professionally run Dog Grooming business opened 1st April 2005. Located in the heart of the beautiful village of Barmby Moor, just over 2 miles outside of the market town of Pocklington in East Yorkshire. Run from a salon attached to our family home. With plenty of space outside allowing for private parking and ease of access.

About us

A family run Dog Grooming business, established by me, Alison Hinchliffe, after being made redundant from a career as HR Executive. i spent 2 years part time at Bishop Burton College, retraining in Animal Care, Business Management and Dog Grooming. Having owned dogs and horses from a very young age it was a natural career move combining my eye for detail and a love of animals. My husband joined me in the salon as bather/dryer after a few years of us being opem, following redundancy from his job after 39 years service.

All costs are starting from prices and are dependent upon size of dog, individual coat type, condition, length and regular appointment schedule.

Do I stay with my dog for the appointment?

It is best not to stay for the duration of the appointment as most dogs settle better without mum or dad on hand, a bit like a child going to nursery for the first time.

How long will the appointment take?

Very much depending upon the size of dog, type of coat and what is required. average time is 2/2.5 hours. This can all be discussed with you at the drop off of your dog.

How long between appointments should I leave?

All depends on how much grooming you wish to carry out yourself and how you want your dog to look? Another question that can be better answered at your first appointment.
